Dogs have blogs, cats have blogs, newborns have blogs, suckers and lurkers have blogs then WHY NOT ME?. This was the question I kept asking myself ever since I started making money online. Last night, I just pushed myself to decide on it and that too with a level of seriousness I never had before. I asked myself "Do I really need a blog? But Why?". What’s my motive?
Is it for making money?
Not exactly, I do have some regular income streams. A large part which is passive, which further lets me concentrate on researching for new passive income streams. So, the fact is that I am not expecting this blog to make a lot of money for me, however, that doesn’t mean that I won’t even try. Whatever be the case, but Making Money isn’t the primary reason for starting this blog.
Is it just that I am curious about blogging?
A lot of newbies start blogging to know what the heck is it all about. I don’t belong to those. I am not a newbie, I have had several blogs on which I used to write but as the time passed by, other things started keeping me busy more and more and I had no choice but to hire some writers and take some temporary retirement from blogging myself.
Then what’s pushing me?
- Branding: I feel there is a need of branding. I want to make my name [or this blog] a Brand. That’ll further help me in scaling my other businesses, sites and services.
- Contacts: Contacts are as important as your inbuilt potential. I need more of them.
- Knowledge: Learning never ends and blogging will act as an important mean for learning new things.
- Writing Skills: This is something which I need to improve upon (although my english teacher never felt so, back in my school days).
So, that means now I have enough reasons to jump into the bandwagon and start blogging. I hope to learn and share with sincere dedication. Wish me good luck!
