What I have been doing

By Sahil Gupta | Feb 21, 2009

Doing all sorts of things except updating this place. Why so? no one knows. You know what, as I write this sentence I am being pinged on Google Talk by a friend who is asking a perfectly timed question: “Last post on TechnoDiary - Oct 20 ?? Why?”. Such a great coincidence because he doesn’t know I am writing this post.

Alright, lets find answer(s) for this post’s title. I have been:

  • Optimising sites
  • Making money online
  • Hiring freelancers
  • Shopping:
    • PSP 3004 (trying to find a gamer in me)
    • iPod Touch 2G (simply rocks)
    • ASUS EEE 1000H laptop (gifted to my sister)
    • Cheap headphone (works perfectly fine)
    • 8 GB pendrive
  • Reading books:
    • A briefer history of time
    • The Google Story
    • Let’s dive into Python
  • Watching movies
  • Hanging out with friends once in a while

The above list summarizes quite a lot of things which kept me occupied in last few months. Besides, I did have semester exams which I don’t think deserve to be in the list above. Cheers.

    Rajat,

I always try finding ways to show my hatred towards our education system. What I wrote in the post is just an example of it.

    :)

    Hardip,

Had you not pinged me.. I might not have hit the publish button. I have a peculiar habit of letting some personal posts decompose as drafts. Thank you :)

    Naveen,

You are making me feel like a celebrity. :P

    Cheers!

Sem exams do not deserve a place in the list.
    Loved it :D
    Fact :)

Good to know, you are learning Python. Hope to see more blog posts about Python soon.

    Azhar,

If you are looking for posts on programming here, I am afraid you’ll be disappointed.

I just noticed that you’re updating your blog frequently now. Time to add one more feed to my RSS reader. :)

hey write a review for Asus EEE …. it is a rocking computer but interestingly it always gets gifted to someone else .. I bought EE for my mum , also shed some light on this phenomenon . Is it too small to be thought of as a laptop??(My theory)
coincidence - I also bought an 8GB harddrive
Read Google story gets boring after a point especially once you get to the changes that we have seen. That is after gmail etc.I have a similar book on Apple if you ever wish to read it …
Briefer history of time(what’s that about)
@Rajat : it would unfair to add exams in the list considering that we did not spend our time studying.
@Azhar: there was a freed.in meeting in JNU ,Delhi .. you might have liked to attend it because python seemed to be the major theme of the day. And since you are learning Lisp i think you are learning the major inspiration behind python.

oh and by the way if you are watching movies you might want to add Dev D in the list , it blew away, and take Delhi 6 out of it if it was ever there…

    Amit,
ASUS EEE 1000H is a netbook infact, not for power users like us. We’ll discuss the phenomenon when me meet in college.

    Just started with G’s story.

Briefer…time is a enhanced/trimmed version of Stephen Hawking’s Brief history of time.

    DevD = Seen. (it’s good)

    Delhi6 = Seen (Average)

    Thanks
